Mandate
Where an LGU provides only the land, SCMPC commits the capital for the Shared Processing Facility while the farmers’ cooperative builds its own equity through share subscription. Farmers join their own SaveCoconut Farmers Cooperative (SCFC) — not SCMPC — and co-manage the facility with it.
SCMPC is the offtaker and marketer: it purchases white copra and coconut water from the SPFs, standardizes and labels the products with DTI guidance, and brings them to market under one brand. Clustered SPFs supply crude coconut oil for cooking oil and for the mandatory fuel blend.
